This book, full of text and pictures, is a pictorial summary which reviews in a hundred of images the history of one of the most significant bands in the rock history. In chronological order: starting with their good-looking twenties when they started out as a band, until the arid and interesting era of their career (between end of 70s and beginning of 80s). The KISS history, besides written, has been pictured and recorded for posterity. There is little to add to such long career of KISS in these last years. The rock of KISS has turned many of their records into the best albums and songs that have ever been written and will ever be in rock’s history. The people responsible for all of that are four guys, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss who knew how to put together not only good-quality songwriting with an explosive idea of public interest and an image which rock music never seemed to offer until they came into the picture.
They stormed with a powerful look and were one of the biggest rock icons in the 70s decade, they broke through the scene strictly musical to become a social and teen phenomenon with sound roots of hard rock and glam, awesome shows full of fireworks and attractive image with an influence from comic books.
On this new book we have wanted to pay tribute to the first 10 years of the KISS career, covering since their beginnings to 1983, paying tribute to that year since it was when they performed in Spain for the first time, and that is the reason why we have wanted to include as a bonus the DVD of the Madrid show in 1983.
