Kiss has had a long history with Detroit and Michigan that goes beyond just the song (and movie) ”Detroit Rock City.” They recorded their breakthrough 1975 album ”Alive!” at Cobo Hall. They launched their reunion tour at Tiger Stadium in 1996. They even visited the Cadillac High School football team for homecoming in 1975, after hearing that the team got motivated by playing Kiss records in the locker room.
